Eager to get more involved with implementing the recommendations and guidance provided within Knowledge for Healthcare? We are looking for two experienced healthcare librarians to help us establish our clinical librarian service here at North Bristol NHS Trust, the largest hospital trust in the South West. Our clinical librarians will spend at least 50% of their time out and about working with specific named departments and teams throughout the hospital. You will play a vital role in providing highly specific, quality filtered information from a range of resources, to inform the clinical decision making process, promote a culture of evidence-based practice and contributing to improved patient care. You will need the eye of an entrepreneur to spot and exploit potential opportunities, using considerable initiative to develop the role, and adopting excellent public relations and marketing skills to promote the service. This not a job for the shrinking violet, but for somebody who really knows their information sources and has the confidence and ability to help clinical staff engage with the evidence base. You'll get to work within the new Brunel Building, which opened only two years ago, and is one of the most modern healthcare facilities in Europe. You'll likely encounter robots doing deliveries to the wards and there is a great staff restaurant and rooftop terrace with views across to Wales.
