Dear List,

I’ve been running a monthly RRC for nursing revalidation since January that is surprisingly (and mostly) well attended and I wondered if anyone else was doing a similar thing and whether they could see their way into sharing article references that they’ve used.

Part of the deal I made with the Nursing directorate when I proposed the RRC was that they would select the articles to be read. They’ve been pretty good with coming up with them, however its beginning to ‘dry up’ and I’m thinking that I might need to start stockpiling suitable articles. Soooooooooo, if any of you have references to share that you think might be suitable reflective material I’d really appreciate your suggestions.

And in the spirit of sharing and caring, here are the articles that we have used so far;

A qualitative thematic review: emotional labour in healthcare settings - JAN 72(1), 6–17. 2016

Dementia Review - http://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/content/assets/PDF/publications/dementia-enquiry-lit-review.pdf - (used this two months in a row)

A mixed method thematic review: the importance of hope to the dying patient - JAN 72(1), 18–32 2016

Understanding victims of honour based violence. Community Practitioner 2014 Vol 87 pt 7

Talking about domestic abuse: crucial conversations for health visitors- Community Practitioner 2015 – next months

I look forward to hearing any of your suggestions and thanks!

Catherine
