The award is presented to the man or woman who, in the opinion of the
judges, has made the greatest contribution to information management or is
the year's best exemplar of an information manager. Information Management
is a key factor in the development of the UK economy, in which library and
information professionals can, should and must play a vital role. It is to
recognise and encourage this essential contribution that UKeiG, the CILIP
Special Interest Group for promoting the effective exploitation and
management of information tools, resources and technologies, with a
particular focus on innovation created this Award in 2015.

For the 2016 Information Manager of the Year Award, judges will be looking
