1 three-year PhD Fellowship in Modern Languages (German and/or Spanish)
The Fellowship, which includes EU fees and maintenance (of €15,000 per annum) for three years, is to allow the holder to pursue doctoral research in the field of modern and contemporary literature(s) of French expression. Research proposals
should relate to an appropriate area of research specialisation in German and/or Spanish at the University of Limerick. For further information on areas of expertise, please consult

The successful candidate will be required to undertake teaching duties to a maximum of 6 hours per week as agreed with their research supervisor and relevant subject leader. An advanced level of proficiency in spoken and written German
or Spanish will thus be a key attribute of the successful candidate. This may be assessed by means of an interview.
