Hi George,

I don't see much a problem. Could you show some papers from which a controversy may have arisen?

About stability: If I type "ica stability" in a search engine I find a number of papers. Could you be more specific?

Thanks.

All the best,

Anderson

Dear all,

I know there is controversy on whether it is appropriate to regress white matter, CSF and motion signal before doing ICA analysis with MELODICA.

I would really appreciate expert opinion on this issue and whether there's any literature justifying one way over the other. I know one paper recommends regressing motion parameters before doing the ICA analysis: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27033684

Another issue is the stability of ICA components with FSL. FSL does not automatically measure stability of ICA output. Are there any studies that assess for such stability? I would appreciate if someone can be of assistance on this.

Best regards,
George
