Museums, Migrants and Cultural Diversity

We are delighted to share with you today the publication "Museums, migration and cultural diversity – Recommendations for museum work<http://www.ne-mo.org/?tx_newsletter_p%5Baction%5D=clicked&tx_newsletter_p%5Bcontroller%5D=Link&type=1342671779&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ne-mo.org%2Ffileadmin%2FDateien%2Fpublic%2FNEMo_documents%2FNemo_Museums_Migration.pdf&n=175&l=7a668016a5cb890d3af45149d9a28562>"!

In light of the recent migration movements in Europe, EU Member States are struggling to find ways to deal with, adapt to and accommodate a changing and more diverse society. Museums have been places of intercultural dialogue since their inception and there is a range of good models how museums work with migrant groups and help to facilitate intercultural dialogue on different levels.

The present publication<http://www.ne-mo.org/?tx_newsletter_p%5Baction%5D=clicked&tx_newsletter_p%5Bcontroller%5D=Link&type=1342671779&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ne-mo.org%2Findex.php%3Fid%3D632&n=175&l=9c5c96f1a387e658754a038ddcb03172>, originally published by the German Museums Association and now adapted and published in English by NEMO, gives concrete and hands-on instructions for museums to find a multi-perspective and multicultural approach to their work and their collections in order to contribute to a healthy and diverse society.

Please feel free to share the publication with your colleagues!

Best wishes,

The NEMO office
