Please excuse the late cross-posting, but I don't think the MCG's call for
proposals has been shared here yet.

Cheers, Mia

tonight!

I've had a sneak peak and we've had a great response to our theme for
October's museums + technology conference. Our call closes at midnight
tonight, so if you haven't yet put in a proposal you've still got time to
'Share your story'! It might be about using various forms of storytelling
to transform the museum experience for visitors, to help funders and
stakeholders understand projects, or to help people get insights from
museum or audience data.

Some more FAQs - you don't have to talk about a specific project, expert
overviews grounded in experience are good too. When writing your proposal,
it can help to focus on what attendees will learn from your presentation,
and work back to the context they'll need for that. And of course, don't
forget to explain any jargon.

Also, we might be able to contribute to travel costs for some speakers, we
have an event code of conduct, and we welcome different lengths of
presentations and experiments with format. Finally, we now share any
profits from our events with speakers - we know preparing a talk takes
time, and that time is money for freelancers and small businesses.

Please get in touch if you have any other questions!

Cheers, Mia
