Over the past few months, a number of stakeholders including DPOs, NGOs, Governments and UN Agencies have worked together to develop a Charter for Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action https://db.tt/7guOrtES This charter comprises a set of overarching principles, as well as five core commitments on non-discrimination, participation, inclusive policy, inclusive response and services, and cooperation and coordination. The charter will be presented during a Special Session on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action on Monday 23 May.Endorsement of the Charter is open to all. Wide endorsement of the Charter will strengthen the call for Governments, UN agencies, humanitarian actors, organisations of persons with disabilities and other stakeholders to ensure future humanitarian action is truly inclusive of persons with disabilities. Endorsement of the Charter is open to NGOs, DPOs, Governments and UN Agencies.
