Dear Friends, Reformed Church University's Department of Special Needs Education proposes to host an International Golf Tournament in July 2017 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe to raise a minimum of US $150,000for procuring appropriate equipment and assistive technologies for the teaching and learning of students with disabilities. Our contribution towards the realisation of inclusive education in Zimbabwe is through quality training of teachers whom we hope will practically translate the rhetoric of inclusivity into reality. We therefore wish to procure the necessary specialised equipment which will enable us to teach them the requisite skills they need when teaching learners with various forms of impairments. We have therefore engaged various partners and stakeholders, including those from the travel and tourism industry here who have assured us that they would provide very flexible packages to all our guests/participants who will come for the Tournament. In addition to the Golf, we intend to have a fundraising dinner and musical concert. To this end, we are inviting both disabled and non-disabled golfers (professional and amateur) who wish to support us in this noble cause to contact the undersigned either as individuals, team sor Associations. On another note, if there is anyone who can help us get in touch with any international music Star, whom we can request to come and be part of our musical concert, we will be very grateful. Lastly, if you, our friends, have any ideas or views on this, our proposal, or need more information, please feel free to write me. Thanking you in advance.
