During the summer semester 2017 (1st March – 30th June, 2017) the Department of Geography and Regional Sciences will be hosting the interdisciplinary Aigner-Rollett-Guest Professorship for Women’s and Gender Studies Programme, at University of Graz.  The deadline for application is the 18th May, 2016.

The guest professor will contribute with his/her expertise in gender studies to teaching at the Faculty of Environmental, Regional and Educational Sciences and at the Master’s Program for Gender Studies (http://koordination-gender.uni-graz.at/en/gender-studies/) <http://koordination-gender.uni-graz.at/en/gender-studies/)> at the University of Graz. It is expected that the guest professor will teach 6 hours per week.

 

Lectures will deal with aspects of gender in geography, preferably with a focus on climate (-change), sustainability and environmental education, and/or on the materiality of the social (biopolitics, body-politics, structure of space in terms of gender perspective etc.). Lectures can be held in German or English.

 

The successful candidate will have demonstrated prior engagement in gender studies and research documented by publications and teaching experience in the areas mentioned above.

 

Salary: € 5,012.65 gross (i.e. before tax) per month
