New 36-month KTP Associate Post - Project Manager/Lead Designer and Developer

This new 36-month project will develop an innovative and digital care visitor book with which to collect, analyze and visualize care service visitor experiences, in order to improve the quality of UK care services. Many different types of people – health and social care professionals to members of the public – visit and use care services and can provide constructive feedback improve them. The digital book will fill this gap and collect, analyze and visualize information about care service visitor experiences, building on previous research to deliver new digital solutions to enhance care quality.

The project forms part of the wider Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) programme - one of the largest graduate recruitment schemes in the UK. As part of this you will have access to further qualifications and skills training, including the opportunity to gain a Diploma in Management. While you will be recruited by City University London, your role will be based at Evalucom Consulting Ltd. at their main offices in Central London, reporting to Mr Michael McHugh (CEO). Academic reporting will be to Principal Investigator Professor Neil Maiden of the City University London.

You will act as the lead designer and developer, as well as project manager, on a strategic business project to develop new and innovative software for use in the UK’s care sector. The successful candidate will be required to: understand different care environments and drivers/barriers to the digital book; co-design the new digital book and how it will be adopted; implement the digital book; test and evaluate the digital book; and deliver academic outputs, a marketing strategy and initial sales.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Technical project management skills;
• Business market analysis skills;
• Socio-technical system and interaction design skills;
• Information and software architecture design skills;
• Understanding of computational natural language process and semantic reasoning design and programming capabilities;
• Software programming and testing knowledge and skills for mobile, desktop computer and server environments;
• Applied skills to implement privacy and security protocols and regulations;
• Able to work with others;
• Organisational and prioritising skills;
• Experience of working with minimal supervision;
• Flexible and proactive approach to work;
• Commitment to improving health and social care, and non-judgmental approach and commitment to care communities;
• Understanding of entrepreneurship and business development;
• Thinking creatively about opportunities and potential solutions.
