The Postal Museum, an independent charitable trust, is recruiting a Records Management Archivist, on an 18 month contract in the first instance, based in London with a salary up to £27,500pa (dependant upon experience). We are looking specifically for candidates who have practical experience of implementing records management.

The role specifically supports the Head of Archives and Records Management and the Archive Catalogue and Project Manager in their responsibilities towards professional management of the Royal Mail Archive and the promotion and implementation of archive and records management practice and procedure throughout Royal Mail and Post Office Ltd. The role provides specialist records management and archival input to The Postal Museum’s team.  In 2017, The Postal Museum (formerly The British Postal Museum and Archive) will open a new heritage attraction in Central London, so as well as advising on records management issues and contributing to the efficient and effective running of the Royal Mail Archive, the successful candidate will work with the rest of the team to prepare the Archive for the move to its new home.
