Hi,

You may have come across (or be involved in) this campaign against sponsorship of arts and culture by oil companies, owing to the devastating impact of continued fossil fuel use on the environment and communities around the world. The British Museum is one of the institutions that receives sponsorship from BP, most recently (and ironically, considering the link between climate change and sea level rise) for its 'Sunken Cities' exhibition.  If you are interested in finding out more about the campaign, visit the website here:
http://bp-or-not-bp.org/
There are fairly regular updates on Twitter and Facebook. If you are interested in taking action in other ways, you could also email or write to the British Museum ([log in to unmask]) about this issue and/or consider a boycott.

Thanks and best wishes,

Emily

Hi everyone,

The U.K. government is proposing to weaken planning regulations, with potentially serious implications for archaeology and the environment. The proposed changes and possible consequences are explained in the CBA's response here:

There is a petition to the government here - please sign and share:

Thanks, all the best,

Emily
