Dear all, Registration is now open for the two-day interdisciplinary conference 'Anxiety in and About Africa', to be held at the University of Cambridge, 15-16 June 2016: http://www.crassh.cam.ac.uk/events/26188 <http://www.crassh.cam.ac.uk/events/26188>. The conference is organised around six thematic panels: Anxiety and lived realities Anxiety about the future Anxieties of health Anxiety and morality Anxieties of the body Violence and anxiety The keynote speaker is Kalala Ngalamulume (Bryn Mawr College). The conference will also include a roundtable involving David Pratten (University of Oxford), Benson Mulemi (Catholic University of Eastern Africa), Stella Nyanzi (Makerere Institute of Social Research), Seggane Musisi (Makerere University), and Nicky Falkof (Wits University). The deadline for registration is Tuesday 7 June. The standard registration fee is £40 (includes lunches, teas/coffees and a wine reception). The fee for students/unwaged is £20.00. There is no conference fee for paper-giving speakers. There is also an option to register for the conference dinner at Emmanuel College for £45.00.
