Subject: Bile acid measurement - For UK list members
Dear Colleagues
Can anyone in the UK offer measurement of serum bile acids that is not interfered with by ursodeoxycholic acid (UDSA)? We have a patient in our hospital who is being given high doses of UDSA as she had an initial raised bile acid level and is a high risk OC patient, but our clinicians are now unable to interpret the bile acids results that we are reporting, as UDSA interferes in our method.
If you can help, please respond directly to me with details of sample type, stability, postal requirements, TAT and ££.
With many thanks
