You might be interested in a special issue/section of New Writing: The International Journal for the Practice and Theory of Creative Writing that I have recently edited, themed 'Screenwriting in the Academy'.

You'll know some of the contributors, and there are also some important new screenwriting voices in there. The papers cover various aspects screenwriting practice, screenwriting pedagogy and the screenwriting PhD.
