Develop individual donors to provide a sustainable funding stream

 

This course will take a marketing approach to fundraising from individuals.  It will look at how to go about recruiting and developing individual donors in order to provide a sustainable funding stream for your charity.
 
It is intended for those new to fundraising from individuals and also those with some experience wanting to increase their understanding of the potential for fundraising from individual donors.

Target group: Trustees staff and volunteers in heritage organisation including museums, libraries and archives and natural heritage organisations. 


Learning outcomes:
By attending this course you will be able to:

  • Understand what motivates people to give
  • Create a plan for fundraising from individuals
  • Develop appropriate cases for support
  • Recognise the importance of effective marketing
  • Understand how to evaluate and monitor the performance of campaigns
  • Take advantage of tax-effective donations and gifts
