Simple answer, we do not have any co-ordinating body or strategy!

See recent UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative call to action:
https://blogs.unicef.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Unicef-UK-Call-to-Action-April-2016.pdf

The best we have is a national infant feeding network, co-ordinated by BFI:

Subject: Question - breast feeding promotion

Dear all,

Sweden is in a process of reviewing our national coordination of breast feeding promotion. Therefore we would like to know how other countries have organized their coordination.

Among the four operational targets in the Innocenti declaration (UNICEF/WHO) from 1990 it is written that all countries should “Appoint a national breastfeeding coordinator with appropriate authority, and establish a multisectoral national breastfeeding committee composed of representatives from relevant government departments, non-governmental organizations, and health professional associations.

How does your country deal with this issue?

We would very much appreciate a short description of your national work or contact information to someone in your country who is in charge.

Thank you in advance!

Karin Gottvall and Åsa Brugård Konde

on behalf of the Swedish National Breastfeeding Committee.
