By: King's College London and CLAHRC South London<https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/msc-in-implementation-and-improvement-science-open-evening-tickets-24778736869#listing-organizer>

Are you a health professional, patient or service user, or researcher interested in improving health services and health outcomes for patients? If so, you are invited to an open evening for King’s College London’s new MSc in Implementation and Improvement Science.

You will be able to find out more about the course, meet with current staff and students, and hear how studying this MSc could benefit your career, enabling you to draw on and apply the latest implementation and improvement theories, strategies and practical techniques.

At the evening, you will be able to meet with a number of the international experts in implementation and improvement science who teach on the MSc, including:

• Dr Rachel Davis, course leader, and lecturer in implementation and improvement science at King’s College London
• Professor Nick Sevdalis, professor of implementation science and patient safety at King’s College London
• Professor Jane Sandall, professor in social science and women’s health at King’s College London.

What is implementation science?
Research results demonstrating best treatment and care are readily available – so why doesn’t the evidence get put into practice? Why aren’t all health services offering patients and service users treatment and care informed by up-to-date guidelines and the latest knowledge?

Implementation and improvement science addresses these questions, investigating factors that hinder or help change for the better, including the attitudes of health professionals, patient knowledge, funding for services, organisational culture and leadership style.

The Implementation and Improvement Science MSc teaches you:
• how to plan and deliver an effective improvement or implementation project
• how to evaluate the effectiveness of different implementation strategies
• research and project management skills.

It is available as both a part-time and full-time course. You can study one of the core modules - Principles of implementation and improvement science - as a standalone course.
