medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture With apologies for the not-really-medieval topic (though in aid of medieval research and photography), I will be traveling in Russia this summer, where I have not been since 1991. With any luck there will be no attempted coup this time-- but I still need to work out logistics. Before I simply go the the usual web sites, can anyone recommend either specific places to stay or parts of each city where I should look? If all permission comes through, I will be working in the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, the cathedral and state museum in Novgorod, and the Pushkin and parts of the Kremlin in Moscow. Many thanks!
