For relevance to UK institutions
Dear Colleagues
Following on from the inaugural UK ORCID consortium meeting at Imperial in September 2015, this is the first in a series of members’ events to be run by Jisc. In the future there will also be technical events, including Hack Days, for those
involved in systems development and integration.
The focus of the May 25th event is on cultivating ORCIDs both in the university and in the wider ecosystem, from business case to advocacy, from initial implementation to advanced opportunities. The sessions will include
·
Update for members on the Jisc activity and wider related developments
·
Group discussion on current issues and next steps depending on your current position
·
Group work on defining the priority developments and opportunities presented by different ORCID implementations - such as Institutional Repositories, CRIS and publisher systems
As well as benefiting delegates on the day, the dialogue and the information gathered will help Jisc to enhance support and good practice information throughout the ORCID implementation cycle. It will also guide Jisc on the focus for future
events, case studies, support materials and dialogue with third parties.
