Hello everyone
The discussions on the GEM list about consultant / freelance rates of pay have often focused on contracts offering a low daily rate. This implies that sometimes clients don't have a good idea of what a reasonable rate for the task would be – or perhaps they underestimate how long the task would take.
So, consultants and freelancers – please would you complete this short (and un-robust!) survey about what you think would be a reasonable daily rate for various tasks, such as developing an activity plan, developing a learning programme, etc.

Obviously the daily rate depends very much on things such as the duration of the contract, etc, etc, and it is up to each individual to charge what they think is appropriate – we're not thinking about cartels here! But because a lot of projects in the cultural heritage sector rely on consultants / freelancers to make them happen, it would be good to get an idea of the range of charges "out there".
