This is the Network of European Museum Organisations. I had the good fortune to speak at one of their conferences in Slovenia a couple of years back. They are the umbrella organisations for EU member states' museums associations. Times are tough and museums are losing staff and closing because funders don't truly understand the value of them. We need to be speaking the same language as trustees, councillors, assembly and parliamentary politicians. I believe we all should tune in to this kind of EU conference and info if we want to fight our battles on a level playing field. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.......
