Two research posts in the Division of Womens Health, King’s College, London

Post 1 A full time Research Associate position within the Division of Women’s Health at St Thomas’ Campus, King's College London in the Maternal Health Services and Policy Research Group to work on a research programme on quality and safety in maternity and women’s health led by Professor Sandall. The postholder will work closely with staff in King’s Improvement Science and the Centre for Implementation Science at King’s.

The post holder will work with others in the theme on systematic review work of quality improvement interventions and measurement in maternal health care in the full range of dimensions of quality and safety. 

Post 2 A full time Research Associate position within the Division of Women’s Health at St Thomas’ Campus, King's College London in the Maternal Health Services and Policy Research Group to work on NIHR CLAHRC South London maternity and women’s health theme led by Professor Jane Sandall and Professor Debra Bick.


Project 1 Continuity of care for women at risk of pre-term birth aims to improve prevention and management of pre-term birth by assessing the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of a new model of care, which combines continuity of care for women at high risk of pre-term birth and to determine if risk stratification and continuity of care improves outcomes, experience and cost effectiveness through a feasibility trial.


Project 2 Birth and beyond: multi-disciplinary team review and care pathway to enhance maternal and infant health aims to improve maternal health through pathways to individualise postnatal care for women who have medical complications in pregnancy through use of triage on discharge from secondary to primary care services.



Postholders without a PhD will be supported to register for a PhD. These posts are for a full time Research Associate position within the Division of Women’s Health at St Thomas’ Campus, King's College London in the Maternal Health Services and Policy Research Group. The posts will be based at St Thomas’ Hospital campus.

The appointments will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 6 scale, currently £32,600 to £38,896, per annum plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
