Gloria,

 

We had some success in picking up the crystal (large lysozyme crystals were tried) simply using the cryo loop (1mm) without the base. We had inserted thin needles to the open end of cryo loop’s metal part making the total length few centimeters. The capillary was horizontally laid on table with the open end facing the loop  and crystal was gently placed inside.

The crystals are between 0.3 mm3 to 2.4 mm3
