Dear Jiri,

at the Wiki that Graeme provided the links to, you will also find xdsgui, a 
graphical user interface to XDS. This may be the best way to learn XDS, 
especially when you are by yourself. It is very intuitive, the graphs present 
the important information in a graphical manner.
