The role of Reclosure Coordinator sits within the Freedom of Information Centre, part of the Transfer and Access Department, who work with government departments to ensure public records are transferred and made available to the Public.

About the role
Reclosure occurs when information in open transferred records has been identified as potentially sensitive and may consequently need to be closed.

The Reclosure coordinator will take responsibility for setting up and managing projects, with the aim of assessing the scope of any sensitivity and from this determining the level of work involved to resolve issues over access. This role will also undertake the review of the records that fall within the scope of these projects and following the review will put forward recommendations to the Reclosure Panel and Executive Team, who together will ensure that the appropriate action is taken and in a timely manner.

We are looking for an individual with a good sense of judgement, decision making skills, prioritisation and project management skills, as well as an appreciation of information rights legislation involved in this process (FOI, DPA, and EIR etc.).
