WORK is under way at Helston Museum to digitise and make available to the public its vast photographic collection.

A team of 12 volunteers are working with the museum's digitisation officer Karen Bell to scan, catalogue and re-package all the old photographs.

Their aim is to make sure the collection survives for future generations. The team bring together a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience which is already proving invaluable to the project.
