York Trials Unit Department of Health Sciences, University of York, UK We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Senior Research Fellow to join our multidisciplinary team. As a member of the Trials Unit Senior Management Team you will play a lead role in the ongoing development of the Unit and its staff. Working closely with the Director, Deputy Director and other senior colleagues and collaborators, both within the group and externally, you will help develop new areas of research and contribute to the day to day operational management of the Unit. You will hold a PhD with a substantial relation to randomised controlled trials or in exceptional circumstances have substantial relevant experience at an equivalent level and have a well-established reputation in your own area of research, publishing regularly in recognised high quality journals and attracting relevant funding from multiple sources. You will have an in depth, relevant methodological knowledge of trial conduct and design with good project management skills and be highly computer literate. Experience of teaching, facilitating and delivering formal training in trials, and previous involvement in the strategic or business development of a research unit or group would be desirable.
