*Course content*
BBST course:
This two day course is intended for those who already are acquainted 
with basic
concepts of Bayesian Biostatistics and software use, but require to add 
to this basis
with a focus on special topics. The topics covered will include Bayesian 
longitudinal and survival analysis;
meta analysis; bioassay; regression and GLMs including measurement 
error, and variable selection; image processing; and disease mapping
In addition, both WinBUGS/OpenBUGS and INLA will be demonstrated.


*The speaker*

Professor Andrew B. Lawson (Department of Public Health Sciences, 
College of Medicine,
Medical University of South Carolina) has extensive experience in running
Bayesian Biostatistical short courses. He is an elected Fellow of the 
American Statistical Association and a WHO advisor on disease mapping.
He has also co-authored a recent general text on Bayesian Biostatistics 
and the BBST course
covers material in the second half of that book. The book: Lesaffre, E. 
and Lawson, A. B. (2012) Bayesian Biostatistics, Wiley, London
is included in the registration fee for the BBST course.
