HI Sam

I had received this notification and having read it determined that it refers to the patient’s own meter. We do not offer a service for home use devices which we know vary immensely in quality on the market. Professional use meters are more likely to meet ISO standards and I am sure this is evident elsewhere, we would not adopt a device that did not meet a very strict specification that is written with ISO standards in mind.

From what I can interpret from this brief notification, diabetes teams should look to advise patients to change meters if there are any performance, safety or quality issues.

Regards

Subject: ISO 15197 compliant glucose meters

Hi All

Does anyone know of the list of glucose meters that are or are not compliant with the new ISO standard?

Cheers

Sam
