Dear all,

This year the IX Jornadas de Jóvenes en Investigación Arqueológica (JIA) (Congress of Young in Archaeological Investigation) is organized by the International Institute for Prehistoric Research of Cantabria (University of Cantabria), and will be held in Santander (Cantabria, Spain) from 8th to 11th June. Communications in English, Spanish and Portuguese for all the sessions regardless the language of the abstracts will be accepted. Abstracts for papers and posters should be submitted until April 17th 2016.

This congress is a scientific event which objective is to encourage the discussion, facilitate scientific networking for young researchers and update the state of art of archaeological investigations among those persons who have not obtained their doctoral thesis yet. The JIA are the only proposal of archaeological scientific meeting arisen from the young researches in Archaeology and aimed to this collective with a format of wide debate. They have an upper level content, not only a scientific one, but also a formative and mutual knowledge of the investigation that is being carried out in the Iberian Peninsula, but also in other world regions.

We invite young researcher (PhD, Master and degree students) to participate in several sessions and workshops related to bioarchaeology investigations (the sessions are hyperlinked to PDF)
