I would advise the individual of what the result us showing as prevention is best. Educate on PPE and investigate noise exposure outside work as many younger people have fir example I pods etc. If the results are normal then they are normal. just highlight you have provided education on feedback to manager. if sudden loss then that's different. sometimes you need a bit of detective work to identify cause.

[log in to unmask] Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] OH Audiometry Surveillance
Hi All,
I was hoping you may be able to help me clarify something.
When we provide the audiometry surveillance on-site and there is a category 3 hearing loss or above, I know we have to refer on, what I’m slightly concerned about is, I have noticed a lot of the employees’ we test still have audios indicative of either NIHL or upper tone loss or both even though they fall within category 1 or 2 due to calculations of their age etc…..should these anomalies be advised on the results to the company or is this unnecessary due to the category they fall in?
Thank you in advance for any advice given.
Kind Regards,
