In the Eastern Church the events of Holy Saturday, the Descent into Limbo or the Harrowing of Hell, take pride of place. The account of this event can be found in the apocryphal accounts of Christ's descent into Hell (conveniently translated in "The Apocryphal New Testament:an Account of Apocryphal Christian Literature in English Translation based on M. R.
