Dear all,

It is my pleasure to announce the upcoming event, Alien Lullabies, featuring singer, performer and former student at the University of Aberdeen, Fiona Soe Paing! A Director's Cut Masterclass, the event will take place on Monday March 21st in Regent Lecture Theatre, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Alien Lullabies is a mesmerIzing animation/electronic music multi-media show, which was performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2015, as part of Creative Scotland's curated 'Made In Scotland" programme, to great feedback and reviews, including a Four Stars write up in The Scotsman - "Unutterably cool, darkly alluring, fascinatingly inventive." Combining off-world electronica from producer and vocalist Paing, with surreal 3D animation from New Zealand based collaborator Zennor Alexander, the show is an immersive live gig/cinema hybrid, touring the UK later this year, including shows at Belladrum, Buzzcut and Kelburn Garden Party festivals.

Audio tracks from the show have also been supported by radio play from BBC's DJ's Mary Anne Hobbs, Vic Galloway, Tom Robinson and Charlie Gillett. The single "Heartbeat" out on Glasgow's Hotgem label, was described as "a wonderful, wonderful thing...electronic music as it should be" by the new music website XSNoize. Fiona is based in Aberdeenshire, and is a former student at the University of Aberdeen.

The event will include a truncated, thirty minute version of Alien Lullabies followed by a conversation between Dr. Paul Flaig, Fiona Soe Paing and Zennor Alexander.
