Subject: [Metpol] Metal in Strange Places Conference
Hello everyone,
This fall (October 21-23) the University of Dayton English Department is hosting the Metal in Strange Places: Aural, Tactile, Emotional, Visual Conference
The CFP is enclosed here. Proposals are due April 22. For more information you can go to the Metal in Strange Places Facebook page and we are on Twitter @MetalinStrange.
This year we will have three keynote speakers, at least 11 sessions, a charity concert featuring one of our keynotes and 3 Dayton area Metal bands. Some plans are still being coordinated, and the conference website up and running by March
28. When it is I will notify this site.
We expect to have a strong turnout--similar to the Metal and Cultural Impact Conference from 2014, and we look forward to seeing what the proposals bring. Any questions can be sent to Bryan Bardine at
[log in to unmask].
Please share with any and all who might be interested
