For the National Portrait Gallery in London the annual turnover for print sales (web and kiosk orders) is around 90k. The nature of our collection accounts for a very long tail of interest in the collection; in particular, with such a large photographic and print archive and over 70,000 different sitters digitised to date many descendants purchase prints of portraits of members of their family represented in the collection.
