Hi John

I guess you don't get much done in a couple of hours -- but sounds great to be following up with the groups to see something through. If the groups do produce something that can be shared, I'd love to see it.

A couple of years ago when Sharna Jackson and I ran a games workshop at Museums and the Web, we used a tumblr for both preparation work and then sharing the results of the workshop -- which were only game design documents, and it was pretty lightweight, but nice to do as a record of the event:

Cheers

Danny

PS next time, yes, let's do it.

Hi Danny

No problem - just double checked to make sure I said positive things about your games ;) Turns out I just shared them!

While all the groups did make a complete IF game - in our few hours together the intention wasn't that it would be a finished product. They are definitely a bit rough around the edges. I imagined it would be a first go to learn the ropes and then start again fresh with a new idea once they're back at their own museums. The problem being is time is also precious once they're back in their day jobs! I'm hoping to continue working with a couple of the groups to get to something that is ready for the public in the coming weeks.

Maybe there is something to be gained by sharing what they made as a first attempt?

Cheers

John

P.S. If I'd have had more time I was tempted to run a version of our MA session (the one we did with Kate Kneale) as that has always been a big success. Maybe next time...
