Cabell’s is a resource with a longiah history (founded 1978). Very many years ago, when I worked at Cranfield University as the management specialist librarian, it was a reasonably well-used reference resource. At that stage it was focused towards business and management, a discipline with a significant US bias (especially then), and was the only source that had the detailed content useful to target where to publish, refereeing processes and impact etc.

Business studies was not well-covered in Web of Science, and this is long before Scopus, so Cabells was a niche resource but was bona fide.In later years, I often wished this kind of service were available in other subject areas, but it must take ages to compile.

A quick Google search indicates it’s available in US research libraries, like Penn State and University of Texas at Austin.

I hope this is helpful
