Call for Papers and Posters Dear Friends and Colleagues, on the 9-11th September 2016 the 13th Conference on Preistoria e Protostoria in Etruria will take place in Valentano (Viterbo, Latium, Italy), Pitigliano (Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy) and Manciano (Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy) The monographic theme of this year will be: Armarsi per comunicare con gli uomini e con gli Dei Le armi come strumenti di attacco e di difesa, status symbol e dono agli Dei – Bearing weapons to communicate with humans and Deities Weapons as attack and defense tools, status symbols and gift to Deities A section dedicated to Research and Excavations in Etruria will follow. As usual the focus topic will primarily concern Etruria latu sensu, but according to the necessity of appropriate comparisons and confrontations, the submission of papers is also dedicated to different areas in Europe and the Mediterranean. Papers dedicated to more recent periods strictly related to Etruria, such as the orientalizing and the archaic ones, will be considered to analyse the outcomes of the phenomena examined. A poster section will also be held. I hope you all will join us for the Conference, as happened during the past editions.
