Speaker Bios
Pierre-Emmanuel Dupont, Senior Lecturer at the Free Faculty of Law, Economics and Management of Paris.Pierre-Emmanuel holds a postgraduate degree in Dispute Resolution from the University of Paris XII, a Master’s degree in Private Law from the University of Nantes, and a Diploma of Notary from the University of Aix-Marseille. His lectures and extensive publications have covered topics related to public international law, international dispute settlement, environmental law, investment treaty arbitration and international economic law.  He is a lawyer and a consultant in public international law, international investment law and dispute resolution. He has advised Asian, European, Middle Eastern, African and Latin American governments, as well as public and private entities and corporations, on public international law matters. In particular his advisory services have involved the issues of the law of the sea and maritime boundary delimitation, international environmental law and transboundary harm, dispute settlement procedures before international courts and tribunals, the law of treaties, state and international organisations responsibility, international economic sanctions (UN, US, EU), state immunity, international humanitarian law, human rights law, disarmament and non-proliferation issues.
 
Krishnan Nadarajan is a Kent Law School alumni who works in Singapore as Senior Legal Counsel with ExxonMobil. His experience includes, but is not limited to: crude oil and product trading agreements, supply operations, and related maritime issues; crude trading in the U.S. and import of crude via railway from Canada; marketing of LNG from Papua New Guinea and ExxonMobil equity gas; advice on shipping and other operational aspects – with an LNG focus; He was also previously an advocate at the Singapore Bar with a focus on civil litigation and arbitration.
Gbenga Oduntan Ph.D in Law (Kent), MA (Law and Diplomacy), LLB (Hons), BL (Hons), BA (Hons) (ACIArb); Senior Lecturer in International Commercial Law at University of Kent. Gbenga has been a consultant to the African Union on the African Union Border Program and was for a decade a legal adviser to the Cameroon Nigeria Mixed Commission. He was also an expert on the High Level Mediation Team resolving the Malawi-Tanzania dispute over Lake Malawi.
