Please feel free to share details of GEM's foundation course on other lists

Foundation Course: Museum Learning - Manchester - starts 25 April 2016

Are you in your first year or so of a museum education career or looking to take up an education position in the heritage sector? Or perhaps you have recently acquired managerial responsibility for learning in a heritage organisation?

Then GEM's foundation course on museum learning may be for you! It's an ideal opportunity to find out more about learning in museums, archives and other heritage organisations.

If you know someone who would benefit from participating on our next foundation course in Manchester, then please pass these details on to them.

The course consists of six days of formal training, site visits and activities spread over three months which allows time for reflection and professional development planning. Each participant is assigned a mentor and undertakes a work-based assignment.

"I have come home with so many ideas and an enormous enthusiasm to pursue this new direction in my career."

The next course takes place in Manchester on 25-26 April; 23-24 May and 20-21 June 2016. Find out more by visiting the GEM website<http://bit.ly/gemFC>. It's excellent value for money, and there are still some places available.

Best wishes
John
