More and more museums are using their creative expertise and resources to develop work with older people. The Age Friendly Museums
Network and National Museum Wales invites professionals from the health, care and housing sectors to share their skills and expertise with museum professionals to create the best experience for older people.
We are currently offering 20 free places at an event to develop and share good practice, and to promote partnership working. Lunch and refreshments will be provided
Who is it for?

Professionals involved in health, care, and housing interested
in exploring partnerships with your local museum, gallery or arts venue to help to find new ways to engage with older people.

Professionals working in arts, culture and heritage interested
in working with older people.
What are the aims of the day?

To establish a Welsh age-friendly museums network, where partners can work on new projects around Wales.
·
To learn about some of the work already being carried out by museums around Wales, and how museums can contribute to wellbeing.
·
To learn about the resources that museums, galleries and art venues can provide to help you in your work.
·
To make new contacts and partners to work on age-friendly projects around Wales.
·
To propose new partnership projects between museums and health, care and housing sectors.
