James we do Fine Art with Edexcel, Textile Design (aka Fashion) with OCR, Graphic Communication (OCR), Photography (AQA), 3D (OCR), and DT Product Design (Edexcel) - as you can see, a mixed bag. I know we definitely have students doing Photography that also do one of the other art subjects so I don't see why other combinations aren't possible.

Subject: A Level Art and Design

Hi,

We have always done A Level Art and Design (Photography, Graphics, Fine Art and Textiles) with WJEC. Each of these qualifications shared the same learning aim number, meaning we were unable to enrol a student on more than one option (e.g. Graphics and Fine Art).

We have recently spotted that other Awarding Bodies offer these qualifications and use different learning aim numbers to WJEC. Does this mean that if a student was to do Graphics with WJEC they could also do Fine Art with AQA? Or would the overlap of the two A Levels (even though they have been sat with different exam boards) cause a problem for the student when applying to university?

We have tried asking to exam boards this question but they don't seem to know the answer.

Your help on this would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks,
