Knowledge into Action 9 – 13 May 2016 Rewley House, 1 Wellington Square, Oxford, UK Register at http://www.conted.ox.ac.uk/kia Using research evidence to inform clinical care and policymaking This module, led by Prof Trish Greenhalgh and Dr Kamal Mahtani, will facilitate understanding of how to use research evidence to inform decisions, improve clinical care and inform policy. Students will be introduced to a range of strategies that are designed to identify barriers and facilitators to introducing evidence-based change. They will also hear about real case examples from people working at the interface between evidence-based healthcare, clinical practice and health policy. Taking account of the complexity of contemporary health systems, they will discuss the challenges of evaluating both processes and outcomes of interventions aimed at supporting evidence-based practice.
