IDEAs declares its solidarity with the Turkish academics who are being persecuted, dismissed from jobs, harassed, prevented from travelling abroad and even jailed, simply for signing the petition of "Academics for Peace". We are horrified at this suppression of democratic and dissenting voices and urge the Turkish government to immediately reverse these unjust and harsh measures. We stand with those who continue to struggle for peace and respect for human rights in Turkey and in the region. < br>
