Interdisciplinary methodologies: across scales and cultures

This one day workshop will focus on methodological tools and approaches for interdisciplinary research in the fields of energy, water and food.  The workshop is hosted by the Adapting to Energy and Environmental Uncertainties research group in the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences and part funded by the ESRC Sharing Futures research project.

Drawing on current research, speakers will address the opportunities and challenges of interdisciplinary research and think methodologically about how researchers can understand complex societal problems experienced by individuals and communities, across scales (from the body to the national) and cultures.

Delegates will be invited to submit their ‘Methodological problems and questions’ in advance of the workshop, to be discussed on the day.

The day is aimed at researchers at any stage of their career and throughout there will be opportunities for networking, discussion and reflection.
