With apologies for cross posting, the following vacancy is now available at Imperial College London E-Learning Technical Specialist REF: SS 2016 018R TAA Professional Services Grade 3b (£34,720 - £42,830 per annum) Closing date: Monday 4th April 2016 The main responsibility of the post is technical support/system administration of College e-learning systems, such as the Blackboard Learn virtual learning environment (VLE) and the Panopto lecture recording system. The College, like most Universities is increasingly using e-learning technologies to deliver its world class, teaching services in an exciting and innovative manner. The post sits within the ICT E-learning Services team who are responsible for providing College-wide support for e-learning technologies. Candidates will have experience of system administration of e-learning systems; in particular, VLEs and lecture recording systems, and managing application plugins, extensions and patches to keep systems up to date. Candidates will be educated to degree level in a technical discipline or have equivalent experience. Strong technical and customer support skills are important to this role, as is the ability to understand and explain technical issues to those with and without a technical background.
