1616 and All That: Shakespeare’s Globe and its Archive




In the context of celebration of Shakespeare400 events, commemorating the year of Shakespeare’s death in 1616, join us to explore the visionary Shakespeare’s Globe through its archival collections.



Victoria Lane, archivist at Shakespeare’s Globe, will talk about Sam Wanamaker’s struggle to rebuild the third ‘Wooden O’; Shakespeare in practice both through both the theatre and the education team; an iconic performance with Mark Rylance, the Globe’s first Artistic Director and the future plans for a new library and archive.
