Subject: Academic Posts and PhD

Hello

How many of your institutions make a PhD an essential requirement on a job description for all Academic Posts?  I have some concerns about this as I feel it may restrict the pool of applicants.  Does anyone know of any research/data about how many Women, BME and disabled people are educated to PhD level as opposed to White Males?

Lesley
